ALL Erection & Crane Rental Corp. Expands Rough Terrain Lineup With Three New Link-Belt RTC-80130 Series II 130-Ton Cranes

September 15, 2009—ALL Erection & Crane Rental Corp. announces the acquisition of three (3) new Link-Belt RTC-80130 Series II 130-ton cranes, the newest and largest rough terrain (RT) model made by Link-Belt. It is touted as one of the strongest, most easily transported, and easy-to-maneuver RT cranes in the industry.

“Link-Belt is a superior brand and an extremely reliable company for us to deal with—and the versatility of these new, larger Link-Belt RT cranes will broaden our rental fleet,” says Michael Liptak, ALL Erection & Crane Rental president. “This acquisition supports ALL’s marketing objective of investing in brands that we’re a dealer for, and Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental, a member of the ALL Family of Companies in Wisconsin, is a Link-Belt dealer.” Liptak says that one of the three new Link-Belt cranes is going to Dawes. The other two will be sent to regional branches based on market needs.

The RTC-80130 Series II features a full power, latching-style five-section formed boom that goes from 41.4 to 162 ft (2.6 to 49.3 m). Maximum boom tip height is 171 ft (52.1 m). Five boom modes allow variable extension of the telescoping sections and provide superior capacities.

One of this crane’s major innovations is the 10-ft (3-m) heavy-lift fly that easily swings and pins into place and is integral to one of the on-board fly options. Alone, it has over 20 t (18.1 mt) of capacity and lift procedures for two load lines, making it perfect for tilt-up work. A Caterpillar C9 9.0L 325 hp (242.3 kW) diesel engine with 1,095 ft-lb (1 485 Nm) of torque powers the big machine.
